FORT WORTH -- Marvin C. Ratliff, 83, an avid sports fan, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2007 in Fort Worth.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Monday at Boyd Cemetery. Visitation: 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home. Rev. Arnold Parker and Wayne Parker will officiate.
Marvin was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Harry and Lillie (Early) Ratliff. He graduated from Boyd High School in 1941, and always kept up with the Boyd Yellow Jackets. He married Theda Ruth Madewell on September 26, 1942 in Boyd. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. Marvin worked for Swift and Company for 24 years and retired as a photographer from Meisel Inc. in Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lillie Ratliff, his brother, Clinton Ratliff, and sisters, Ivy Zucarro, Ruth Baker, and Jewell Hardy.
He is Survived by: his loving wife of 64 years, Theda Ruth Ratliff; his daughter, Joyce Ann Ratliff of Denver, Colorado; his two sons, Robert Ratliff and wife Jean of Benbrook, Larry Ratliff and wife Joan of Littleton, Colorado; his six grandchildren, Becky Ogilvie and husband Chris, Tracy Schroeder, Kyle Ratliff and wife Jennifer, Andrew, Amy, and Daniel Ratliff; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
