Mary Helen (Duncan) Boyd

Decatur ~ Mary Helen Boyd, 92, went to be with our Lord Friday, June 11, 2021.

Private Graveside will be held at a later date.

Mary was born April 21, 1929 to Lawrence Damon and Margie Lee (Henson) Duncan in McKinney, Texas. She was united in marriage January 6, 1950 to Bobby Lee Boyd in Ft. Worth. Texas, they were married over 62 years until his passing in 2012. She was retired from Barton Clothing Company where she had worked as a clerk for many years. Mary loved playing golf, painting, fishing and being involved in Epsilon Sigma Alpha. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many who will dearly miss her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Bobby Lee Boyd, and her daughter, Mary Ann VanderVenter.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, David Lee Boyd of Crowley; her grandson, John Schumaker of Burleson; extended family members, special caretaker, Patricia, and a host of friends.
