Mary, a homemaker and retired 4th grade teacher, passed away Monday, April 18, 2005 peacefully at her home in Carrollton after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Mary was born September 10, 1931, in Bridgeport, Texas, to William Embry and Bernice (Balfour) Hines. She married Maurice E. Carlton on August 10, 1948 in Stratford, Texas. They raised their family in Carrollton and had lived the past 12 years at Falconhead in Burneyville, Oklahoma. Mary received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in education from Texas Womens University. She was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Carrollton and was currently a member of Falconhead Christian Fellowship in Burneyville. Survivors: Her Husband of 56 years: Maurice E. Carlton of Carrollton Her Son: Dr. David Carlton and wife Karen of Dallas Her Daughter: Cindy Etier and husband George of Carrolton Her Grandchildren: Kyle Carlton of Coppell Emily and Elizabeth Etier of Carrollton Her Sister: Joy Beeson of Afton Her Brother: Embry Hines and wife Marti of Bridgeport Nieces: Mary Beeson Taylor, Mina Beeson Pellizzari, Holly Hines, and Sandy Hines Blackwell
