Funeral service is 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 23rd at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Ross officiating. Interment: Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Jonathon Horton, Sam Major, Phil Major, Johnny Jeter, Scott Chrismon, and Darryl Miller.
Mary was born December 19, 1922 in Doyle, Oklahoma to Lonnie Guy and Molly (Jolley) Kennedy. She was united in marriage to Vearl Chrismon on April 17, 1941 in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Mary was a member of the Decatur Garden Club and the Decatur Church of Christ.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Mary Lee Vardas and husband Steve of Sunset; son, Kenny Varl Chrismon and wife Shelly of Lakeside City, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Lesa Major and husband Phil of Decatur, Kevin Vardas and wife Melissa of Denton, Crystal Horton and husband Jonathon of Sunset, Scott Chrismon and wife Marci of Dallas and Stacey Hughes and husband Cameron of Killeen; 9 great-grandchildren, Sam, Breanna, Jakob, Isaac, Nathon, Hap, Cooper, Jack and Theo; and brother, Lloyd Kennedy and wife, Mary of North Richland Hills; other family members and a host of friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Pansy Chrismon, Bonnie Miller and Molly Ann Dennis; brothers, Virgil and Floyd Kennedy.
