Mary Garrett

Chico ~ Mary Garrett, 76, went to be with our Lord Saturday, March 8, 2025 in Decatur.

Graveside Service is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27th, at Chico Cemetery.

Mary was born on January 15, 1949, in Houston to John Ernest and Alvis Hazel (McGee) Tompkins. After retiring from her career as an electronics technician at Rockwell International, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mary’s warmth and friendship touched many lives, and she will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alvis Tompkins; her daughter, Toni LeAnn Sides; and her sister, Connie Marie Tompkins.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Ralph Sides and wife Tasha; her grandchildren, Alex Sides and wife Natalie, Reghan Sides, Georgia Sides, Jewellynn Splawn, Amanda Sides and husband Adam Butler, Melony Riddles and husband Brandon Hinds, and Alexa Wagoner; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
