Mary "Frances" (Holt) Gentry

Paradise ~ Mary “Frances” Gentry, 85, went to be with our Lord Sunday, March 31, 2019, in Decatur.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel Bridgeport with burial in Cottondale Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Weston D. Gentry will officiate. Pallbearers include Dalton George, Hunter George, Bryce Shetter, Josh Gentry, Dillon Gentry, Jaxen Harrington, Aaron Shetter, Caiden Shetter, Micah Gentry, and Scout Schiffbauer.

Frances was born on March 24, 1934, to Carl Wesley and Natalie Marie (Beville) Holt in Bridgeport, Texas. She was united in marriage to Willard Gentry on June 21, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas. Frances was co-owner of Best Custom Homes, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her great grandson, Braylon Scott Shetter; and her brother, Thurman Lee Holt.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 66 years, Willard Gentry of Paradise; her sons, James W. Gentry of Cottondale, Russel W. Gentry of Cottondale, and Brad Gentry and wife Rayanne of Cottondale; her daughter, Jo Elaine Gentry of Cottondale; her grandchildren, Amanda M. Shetter, Melissa N. Read, Phillip J. Black, Jeremy S. Black, Jenny M. Gentry, Josh M. Gentry, Weston D. Gentry, Maranda Read and Alexandria Fowler; 14 and a half great grandchildren; her brother, Theron Holt and wife Janie of Paradise; her sisters, Norma Pearl Holt of Bridgeport, Carol Richardson of Paradise, Carla Jan Wood of Paradise, and Connie Holt of Georgetown;  numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
