Mary Jo Henson

Paradise ~ Mary Jo Henson, 95, went to be with our Lord Saturday, January 18, 2025 in Decatur.

Mary was born on December 1, 1929 to Lester (Farmer) and Ludie (Drennan) in Swenson. In 1948, she was united in marriage to T.J. Henson, Sr. in Jones County, and together they created a wonderful life. Throughout her life, Mary poured her heart into her work as a self-employed beautician, bringing joy and beauty to others. She also dedicated 20 plus years of her life to volunteering with Solaris, sharing her time and love with the community. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to many that will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Ludie Hill; her husband, T.J. Henson, Sr.; her son, Carol Wayne Henson; her daughter, Connie Jo Henson; her sister, Lynda June Hill Morrow; and her brother, Lester Garland Hill. 

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Toy J. Henson, Jr. and wife Caroline of Brock and Michael D. Henson and Terri Ann of Paradise; her grandchildren, Paige Cooper and husband Darren, Courtney Brienen and husband AB, Tiffany Curzan and husband Jimmy, and Tangela Henson; her great-grandchildren, Lauren, Karrah, and Ashtyn Cooper, Edie Brienen, Chloe Stanberry, Clara and Roman Curzan; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
