Mary Helen (Mooney) Hubbard

Decatur ~ Mary Helen Hubbard, 81, went to be with our Lord Monday, March 15, 2021 in Decatur.

Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with burial in Sycamore Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mary was born on April 8, 1939 to Harvey Madison and Mary Jo Louise (Hopson) Mooney in Decatur, Texas. She was united in marriage to Arvel Hubbard on December 30, 1960 in Decatur, Texas. They were married 54 years till his passing in 2014. Mary was a member of Cates Street Baptist church in Bridgeport and she was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 sisters; and 3 brothers.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, James Hubbard and wife Liz of Decatur; her grandson Cody Hubbard and wife Bonnie of Decatur; her granddaughters, Misti Hubbard-Jackson and husband Chad of Heartland, Brittney Green and husband Richard of Heartland, and Hannah Cochran and husband Jameson of Decatur; 4 great-grandchildren, Caiden, Maggie, Aaron, and Allison Hubbard; her brother, Dudley Mooney; 3 sisters, Laura Brewer, Dana Williams, and Molly Crawshaw; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Wise County Youth Fair, P.O. Box 1062 Decatur, TX 76234.
