Mary Lee Boyd

Bridgeport ~ Mary Lee Boyd, 87, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 21, 2021 in Bridgeport.

Graveside Service will be 1:00 p.m. at East Bridgeport Cemetery, Monday, August 23, 2021 with visitation 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport.

Mary was born January 27, 1934 to Lee Curtis and Virgie Mary (Kyle) Thornburg in Mingus, Texas. She was united in marriage to Teddy Boyd on August 10, 1963 in Fort Worth, Texas. Mary was self-employed and retired from her business, MB Transportation.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 44 years, Teddy Boyd; her daughter, Sharon Lemons; her sister, Oma Winter; and her brother, Roy Thornburg.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Diane Lemons of Fort Worth, Karen Hill of Springfield, Missouri, and Brenda Cox and husband Wayne of Runaway Bay; her son, Troy Boyd and wife Susan of Bridgeport; her 11 grandchildren, Jackie, Rachel, Tim, Audra, Cassie, Collin, Bridgette, Brandon, Bryson, Brady and wife Carly, and Blake; her 6 great-grandchildren; and her 2 great-great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
