Bridgeport ~ Mary Kathryn O'Dell, 75, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at her home.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in West Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Rev. Steve Billingsley and Rev. Mike Wiltcher will officiate. Pallbearers are Rick O'Dell, Gerry O'Dell, David O'Dell, Will O'Dell, Chad O'Dell, Cody O'Dell, and Coy Gene Cleveland. Honorary pallbearers are Tyler Hughes and Christopher O'Dell.
Mary was born on August 4, 1936 to William and Margaret (Worley) Billingsley in Bastrop, Louisiana. She married Leon O'Dell on December 24, 1955 in Gainesville. Mary's faith was Church of Christ and was a member of Runaway Bay Country Club. She was involved in Senior Care, Bridgeport Independent School District and Haggar Slacks.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Charles David Billingsley.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, Leon O'Dell of Bridgeport; her sons, Gerry O'Dell and wife Susan of Magnolia, Texas, Rick O'Dell and wife Beverly of Chico, David O'Dell and wife Angie of Bridgeport; her daughters, Kathy Hughes and Jackie O'Dell both of Bridgeport; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; her sister, Juanima Smith of Bridgeport; her brother, J.E. Billingsley and wife Sharon of North Richland Hills; other family members and a host of friends.
