Graveside service for Mary Deanna Nolan Petty, 69, of Chico will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19 at Boyd Cemetery. Dr. Barbara Sowell will officiate. Visitation was to be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home. Deanna died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, in Chico. Born Jan. 7, 1937, in San Diego, CA to Harry and Bertie Foster Nolan, she married T.J. Petty on July 26, 1973 in Newark. She and her husband sponsored many people in Alcoholics Anonymous in Wise County and throughout North Texas over the years. Untrained as an artist, she took up painting at the age of 65. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bob, Michael and Raymond Nolan. She is survived by her husband; sons, Michael Nolan Petty of Chico and Jeffrey Allen Petty and wife Sheira of Mansfield; two daughters, Linda Petty and Melissa Kaye Lamb and husban Troy, all of Bridgeport; eight grandchildren, Misty, Jason, Jessica, Ashley, Nathan, Reid, Stormi and Megan.
