Mary Ruth Pounds-Corbin, 92, of Decatur went to be with our Lord on Monday, June 22, in Decatur, Texas.

Mary was born on August 18, 1916 to Sterling and Maudie (Simmons) Pounds in her hometown of Decatur, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur since 1949 and was a member of the Decatur Hospital Auxilary for 14 years.
Left behind to cherish her memory are 2 sons, Jerry Starnes of Decatur and James Starnes of Crawford, TN; 3 grandchildren Kirk, Caylyn, and Rob Starnes; 1 great grandson Jackson; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, Lewis F. pounds of Decatur; 2 sisters, Lillie Mae Warren of Coahoma, Texas, and Jewel C. Woods of Dallas.
