Mary was born September 9, 1923 in Marietta, Oklahoma to Leroy and Amanda (Gray) King. She is preceded in death by her husband, Darwood Smith, daughter, Shirley Hampton; two sons, John Rainey and Bill Brown.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Janie Grisham and husband, Jim and Sammie Dolan and husband, Kevin both of Rhome;
