Mary Louise Rooney

Bridgeport ~ Mary Louise Rooney, 103, went to be with our Lord Thursday, February 13, 2025 in Bridgeport.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 17th, at St. John the Baptizer Catholic Church in Bridgeport with burial at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, February 22nd, at Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport with Rosary at 3:00 p.m.

Mary was born on September 21, 1921 to George J. and Mary Frances (Provencal) Plamondon in Nashua, New Hampshire. She was united in marriage to Stanley James Rooney on December 18, 1947 at St. Anthony’s Church in Beaumont, Texas. Mary dedicated many years to her role as a billing and shipping clerk, but her true passion was found in the joy of her family. She cherished every moment spent with her husband and children. Mary was a faithful Catholic who was committed to her Christian community. She was a beloved mother, aunt, and a friend to many that will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Plamondon; her husband, Stanley Rooney; her brother, George Plamondon II; and her nephews, Robert Plamondon and Charles Bohn.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Michele Daugherty and husband David of Bridgeport; her son, Mike Rooney and wife Cherie of Arlington; her niece, Jan Bohn of Easton, Maryland; her nephew, Paul Plamondon of Nashua, New Hampshire; other relatives and a host of friends.
