Paradise ~ Mary Francis (McCulley) Sipes, 87, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Saturday, September 28, 2013 in Decatur.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Friendship Baptist Church in Boyd with burial in Friendship Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Rev. Terry Terry will officiate. Pallbearers include Tim Sipes, Darrin Tackett, Chris Tackett, Chase Tackett, Jake Furlong, and Chad Land.
Mary was born on May 18, 1926 to Ben and Mattie (Young) McCulley in Springtown, Texas. She was united in marriage to C.D. Sipes on May 31, 1941 in Springtown. Mary was a wife and homemaker. She was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, C.D. Sipes; her son, Charles Sipes; and her sister, Mozelle Smith.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nelda Tackett and husband Jim of Paradise; her sons, Mike Sipes and wife Sherry of Graham, Richard Sipes and wife Rhonda of Graham; her daughter-in-law, Naomi Sipes of Boyd; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; her sisters, Jessie Woods of Fort Worth, Wynona Brown and husband Ralph of Fort Worth; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
