BRIDGEPORT -- Mary Beth Toombs, 80, a proofreader for the Bridgeport Index newspaper, went to be with our Lord Friday, July 4, 2008, in Bridgeport.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Fellowship Church in Paradise with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family to receive friends 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Rev. B.J. Rutledge will officiate, assisted by Mark Moore. Pallbearers: John Toombs, Shane Galvan, Nathan Toombs, Jason Toombs, Matt Crowe, Dusty Meyers, Parker Noland, and Tyler Agnew.
Mary Beth was born on December 2, 1927 the daughter of Harry Jack and Eliza Elizabeth (Lipe) Graybill Los Fresnos, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Harold, Jack, and Jim Graybill; and her aunt, Lucy Bingsley.
Left behind to cherish her memory is: her sons, David Toombs and wife Sue of Fort Worth, James Toombs and wife Nancy of River Oaks, Danny Toombs and wife Pat of Tomball; her daughters, Ginger Johnson of Bowie, Kathy Crowe of Ingraham, Mary Meyers and husband Terry of Katy, Margaret Agnew and husband Craig of Brenham, Dorothy Noland and husband Terry of North Richland Hills; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
