Mary Martha Turnipseed

Memorial is 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Rev. Gerre Joiner will officiate.

Mary was born on November 16, 1950 to Horace and Ima Jean (Edwards) Gowan in Jacksboro. She was united in marriage to David Ball Turnipseed on December 30, 1972 in Jacksboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, David Turnipseed of Chico; her daughters, Keely Turnipseed Aust and husband Matthew of Sugarland and Erin Turnipseed of Chico; her grandchildren, Gabriel Aubrey Brooks, Kayden Noel Hayhurst, and Abigail Grace Aust; her brother, James Don Gowan of Jacksboro; other family members and a host of friends.

My heart is broken.....when Mary Martha and I were in high school we were very close. She was like a sister to me. Through the years we lost touch, but Mary Martha always stayed in my memory and in my heart. Rest in peace Mary Martha...I love you.
