Maryann Schimpf

Runaway Bay ~ MaryAnn Schimpf, 76, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, November 29, 2023 in Runaway Bay.

MaryAnn was born on October 31, 1947 to Theodore and Margaret (Hanning) Fish in New York City, New York. She was united in marriage to Barry Schimpf on May 30, 1970 in Athens, Georgia. MaryAnn retired as a real estate agent back in 2011. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to many that will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by Theodore and Thomas Fish.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 53 years, Barry Schimpf; her sons, Chris Schimpf and wife Patricia of Keller and Adam Schimpf and wife Rachel of Plano; her grandchildren, Hannah Ord, Nathaniel, Elliot, Vivienne, Chloe, and Lily Schimpf; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

A short internment service will be held at the Eternal Oaks Cemetery in Runaway Bay on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. The family request in lieu of flowers a donation be made in Mary Ann’s name to the Bay Church to be distributed to women’s issues providers in Wise County, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at Bay Church on January 6, 2024. Please watch for details. This service will be streamed for those out of town.
