Bridgeport ~ Mary Helen Findley, 67, a homemaker and retired business owner, went to be with our Lord Saturday, January 9, 2016 in Decatur.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2016 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Rev. Bo Johnson will officiate. Pallbearers include Dan Younger, Eddie Gonzales, Jessie Paul Carpenter, Bill Reynolds, Gaylen Oates, and Pat Oates.
Mary Helen was born on December 14, 1948 to Rex and Mada (Walker) Bird in Bridgeport. She was united in marriage to Travis Findley on June 11, 1976 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mary Helen owned and operated Mada’s Dress Shop in Bridgeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, Travis Findley of Bridgeport; her son, Matt Findley and wife Ashley of Richland Hills; her stepdaughter, Amy Turner and husband Dean of Providence Village; her grandchildren, Walker and Everest, Caleb and Rachel, and Daniel and Rebecca; her brother, Buddy Bird of Arlington; other family members and a host of friends.
