Bridgeport ~ Marylee Thompson, 54, a computer vendor processor, went to be with our Lord Saturday, January 19, 2013 in Decatur.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 23rd at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Rev. Eric Crawford will officiate. Pallbearers include Bill Cox, Thill Hokit, Brandon Cook, and Jesse Latta.
Marylee was born on June 6, 1958 to Thuron and Lillian (Grooms) Thompson in Decatur. She graduated from BHS in 1976, attended TCJC for 2 years and graduated in 2005 with a certification in Business and Computer Processing. Marylee work for Tandy Computer Leasing for 22 years, then worked for Colonial Savings for 5 years, both are in Fort Worth. She was active in many metroplex events and volunteered for numerous charities. Marylee was a Southern Baptist and a member of the Heritage Baptist Church in Haslet.
She was preceded by her father; her grandparents, Ada and C.O. Thompson, Raney and John Grooms.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her mother, Lillian Thompson of Bridgeport; her sister, Cara Thompson of Bridgeport; her brothers, Thuron Thompson Jr. of Chico, Melvin Thompson and wife Pam of Euless; her nephew, Chris Lightfoot and wife Montse of North Richland Hills; her great nephews, Christopher and Tyler; other family members and a host of friends.
