Boyd ~ Maudie Ione Brown, 83, went to be with our Lord Monday, November 2, 2020 in Boyd.

Funeral is 2:00 PM Friday at Aurora Baptist Church with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Rev. Jimmy Withers will officiate.

Maudie was born on March 22, 1937 to Iranis and Maudie (Reynolds) Drake in Keller, Texas. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Ray Brown on August 16, 1958 in Arlington. Maudie was member of Aurora Baptist Church and the Eastern Star Ch. 897 of Boyd. She was a housewife, farmer, rancher, and a mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Brown; son, Randy Wayne Brown; grandson, Joshua Wayne Brown; and 2 brothers, David and Ernest Drake.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lisa Brown and Jeff Vanderwall of Reno, Nevada; son, Phillip Ray Brown and wife Christine of Boyd; 4 grandchildren, Richard Fey, Joe Brown and wife Ariana, Kara Brown, and Kelsey Brown; 2 great-grandchildren, Natalie and Juliette; sister, Genieve Compton and husband Robert of Waxahachie; uncle, Buster Reynolds of Weatherford; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
