BOYD -- May Bolling, 97, a housewife and devoted mother, went to be with our Lord Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, in Decatur.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, West Bridgeport Cemetery. Chaplain Jim Steinhauer to officiate. Visitation: No set family visitation.
May was born on October 3, 1912, the daughter of Aaron Franklin and Marietta (Northcutt) Daffern, in Robert Lee, Texas. She married Jesse Boling on February 23, 1933 in Mineral Wells, Texas.
May was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse; her daughter, Jessie Porter; great grandson, Kevin Hulsey; sister, Dora Wright; brothers, Jody, Louis, and Paul Daffern.
Those left behind to cherish her memory: daughters, Mayanell Bolling of Fort Worth, Eleanor Hightower and husband Tim of Boyd; sons, Cecil Bolling and wife Sammie of Colleyville, Clyde Bolling and wife Regina of North Richland Hills, Odell Bolling and wife Barbara of Reno, Kenneth Bolling and wife Debra of Boyd; 23 grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
