Melvin Bert Little

Decatur ~ Melvin Bert Little, 82, went to be with our Lord Saturday, September 11, 2021 in Denton, Texas.

Graveside is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Rev. Donny Haywood is officiating. Pallbearers include Josh Neal, Jacob Neal, Seth Neal, Trey Little, and Justin Huss.

Melvin was born on January 20, 1939 to Melvin C. and Mabel Bernice (Brumley) Little in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage to Sandra Renshaw on June 20, 1958 in Decatur, Texas. Melvin was a retired substation foreman at T.U. Electric and a member of the First United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his brother, Robert Jack Little.

Those left behind to cherish memory are his 2 duaghters, Terry Neal and husband Tommy of Sherman, and Sheri Claborn and husband Frankie of Decatur; his son, Bert Little and wife Michelle of Springtown; 8 grandchildren Josh Neal, Jacob Neal, Seth Neal, Megan Hammons, Lilly Huss, Katie Claborn, Trey Little, and Ashley Little; 8 great-grandchildren Tucker, Evin, Rush, Gavin, Chloe, Dexter, Maddox, and Axton; his sister, Lillian Sattawhite of Decatur; numerous extended family and a host of friends.
