Alvord: Meredith "Meda" Hodges Hale, 82, of Alvord, died Wednesday, February 20, 2008 in Alvord.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday, February 22nd at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Hopewell Cemetery. Rev. Dan Sparkman will officiate. Family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Kenneth Baird, Kyle Baird, Brandon McCarthy, Monty Hale, Mark Shillingburg and Billy Joe Patterson.
Mrs. Hale was born April 22, 1925 near Alvord to William Eddie and Lula Hodges. She married Lee Roy Hale on January 15, 1944 at Decatur, Texas. She was a life long member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Alvord.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 64 years, Lee Roy Hale; sons, Bobby Hale and wife Pat of Decatur, Leslie Hale and wife of Judy of Alvord; daughter, Debbie Seabolt and husband Rusty of Lake Worth; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and 6 sisters. Mrs. Hale was the last remaining of 11 children.
