PARADISE -- Merline "Big Momma" Russell, 81, a homemaker, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2005 at in Bridgeport. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church Paradise. Burial: Paradise Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Russell married Clarence Russell Aug. 3, 1943 in Idabell, OK. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Beddingfield. Survivors: Husband of 62 years, Clarence Russell of Paradise; daughters, Linda Haggard and husband John of Paradise and Gail Haggard and husband Jack of Fontana, CA; grandchildren, Rex, Darla, Mack, Sharon and Russell; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
