Michael Roy North

Decatur ~ Michael Roy North, 72, of Decatur went to be with his Lord, Sunday, July 19, 2020 in Denton, Texas.

Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Plainview Baptist Church in Krum with burial in Sweetwater Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.

John Pearce and David Mosley will officiate. Pallbearers will include John Roy North, Adam North, Ben Scheuermann, Johnny Scheuermann, Jr., Clayton Taylor, and David Wafer.

Michael was born November 15, 1947 to Roy Paschall and Margaret (Patterson) North in Justin, Texas. He was a graduate from Decatur High School. Michael married Beverly Shurbet on December 29, 1967 in Decatur. They were married for 52 years.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Beverly North of Decatur; daughter, Amy Mosley and husband Bart of Decatur; sons, Mark North and wife Sara of Dennison and Andy North and wife Carmen of Azle; 6 grandchildren, Ellie, Avery, Ethan, Leah, Abby, and Emilee; sister Carolyn Fowler of Decatur and Sandra Scheuermann of Arlington; brother, John North of Slidell; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
