Michael Daggett Overton

Decatur ~ Michael Overton, 61, went to be with our Lord Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Decatur.

Celebration of life is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Paradise Fire Department.

Michael was born on September 27, 1956 to Jerry and Guynell (Daggett) Overton in Fort Worth, Texas. He was united in marriage to Kim Kidd on December 24, 2014 in Southlake. Michael was a farmer and rancher, and loved farming on the Overton farm. He loved hunting and was an avid sports and outdoorsman. Michael loved helping and serving people he never met a stranger. He served on the Paradise volunteer fire department for 20 years. Michael was a kind hearted man and was always there to help his friends. He adored his children and was so excited when he became “Paw Paw”. Michael loved his wife Kim, “I love you more.”

H e was preceded in death by his mother.

T hose left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Kim Overton; his dad, Jerry Overton; his son, Chance Overton of Decatur; his daughter, Kara Hardt and husband Brad of Decatur; his grandchildren, Lyla Hardt of Decatur, and one more on the way; a sister, Michelle Payton and husband John of Paradise; extended family James and wife Heather and children Maddi and Mckenzie McGilvray, Katheryne and her husband Greg and children Reagan and Sydney Hinze, Billy, Bret, Brannon Kidd and their wives and children; mother in law Annette Kidd and a host of many friends that were family.
