Decatur ~ Miguel Rodriguez Vazquez, 62, went to be with our Lord Sunday, February 19, 2023 in Decatur.

Mass of Christian Burial is 11 AM Friday at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur with burial at Thurmond-Fairview Cemetery. Family will receive friend 6-8 PM Thursday, with Rosary at 7 PM at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Pallbearers are Erik Romero, Ian Harrington, Lucio Olivas, Oscar Rodriguez, Manuel Galvan, Baltazar Murillo, Vicente Murillo, Joel Navarette, Hector Murillo, and Colin Floyd.

Miguel was born on September 29, 1960 to Rosa Rodriguez in Chihuahua, Mexico. He was united in marriage to Adela Murillo on June 27 2007 in Decatur. Miguel was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to many that will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Vazquez; his brother, Juan Vazquez; and his granddaughter, Amara Harrington.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Adela Vazquez; 4 daughters, Daniella Vazquez and husband Erik Romero of Decatur, Andrea Vazquez and husband Lucio Olivas, Valentina Vazquez and husband Ian Harrington of Decatur, and Lydia Vazquez and husband Colin Floyd; 6 grandchildren; numerous friends, cousins, and family.
