BRIDGEPORT -- Mildred B. Kasner, 88, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, in Bridgeport.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Bridgeport. Interment: West Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Dr. David Burrows will officiate. Pallbearers will be Steven Trammell, John Bell, Steve Doty, Donnie Boivin, Jerry White, and Clarence Wallace.
Mildred was born on December 15, 1920 in Decatur, Texas, the daughter of Robert and Gertie Mae (Foster) Rich.
She married Fred Kasner on June 8, 1940 in Bridgeport. She was a homemaker Mildred was a member and a nursery worker of the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Kasner; sisters, Goldie Mae Noyes, Edith Milligan; and brother, Robert Lee Rich.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are: her sons, Hubert Kasner of Runaway Bay, Robert Kasner and wife, Jane of Runaway Bay; her daughter, Virginia Spigelmeyer of North Richland Hills; grandchildren, Robby, Angie, Joe, Andy, Ki; great-grandchildren, Matt, Amanda, Kane, Thomas; sisters, Virginia Rich, Betty Huggins; her numerous "adopted" children; and numerous nieces and nephews.
