Mildred Janet Davis Vernon

FORT WORTH -- Mildred Janet Davis Vernon, 78, a homemaker, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007 in Fort Worth. Graveside service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Chico Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Vernon married William Newton Vernon, Jr. Sept. 14, 1974 in Dill City, OK. They were united 35 years until his passing in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Thetford and Polly Konige and brother, Herbie Davis. Mrs. Vernon was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Worth. Survivors: Daughter, Linda Young and husband, Billy of Ft. Worth; son, Robert Harold Ogletree of Ft. Worth; brother, Jim Davis of Ft. Worth; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
