Mildred Erline Walls

Mildred Erline Walls, 90, of Decatur went to be with her Lord Saturday, February 22, 2025 in Denton, Texas.

Graveside Service is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27th at Little Elm Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Mildred was born November 8, 1934 to Bolivar Wesley and Mildred Aline (Rickett) Johnson in Dallas, Texas. She was united in marriage in 1974 to Tommie Walls. Mildred was a retired baker after many years in the retail grocery business. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many who will miss her dearly. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bolivar and Mildred Johnson; and her husband, Tommie Walls.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Dorothy Castleberry of Roxton, Sandra Owen of Roxton, Charlotte Tipton of Roanoke, Regina Owen Gentry of Suffolk, VA, and Kim Mote of Decatur; her sons, Loyd Owen of Butler,  Frank Owen of Butler and Douglas Walls; 2 sisters, Elsie Queen of Amarillo, and Peggy Hardin of Denton; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; extended family members and a host of friends.
