Milton Eugene Andress

Milton Eugene Andress, 88, of Boyd went to be with our Lord on Saturday, April 6th 2024.

Funeral service Thursday, April 11th, 2024 at Aurora Baptist Church at 10:30 am with burial in Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Bro. Jimmy Withers will officiate.

Pallbearers are Sean Andress, Derek Brown, Jesse Bulpitt, Kyle Erwin, Anthony Grant, Jim Hunt, Matt Naugle, and Bud Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Andress, Wyatt Davis, Landyn Naugle and Ryland Grant.

Military Honors will be provided by Wise County Veterans Group.

Milton was born on October 1st, 1935 in Wheeler, Texas to William Kennedy Andress and Clara Andress (Hale). Milton proudly served in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Coast Guard. Milton married Avis Elaine Slimp on February 25, 1965 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Left behind to cherish his memory are daughters Angie Brown and husband Derek of Saginaw Tx, Amanda René Grant (Andress) and husband Anthony of Paradise Tx, sons Sean Andress and wife Khristal of Boyd Tx and Bud Smith of Boyd Tx. Grandchildren, Brian, Jennifer, Sherri, Brittany, Juston, Jessica, Brendan, Joshua, Courtney, Brooklyn, Aubrey, Ryland, Autumn, Clara, Austin; many many great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

Milton is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Avis Elaine Andress, son William "Eugene" Andress, daughters Kimberly Andress, Cindy Smith, brothers Leroy Andress, Robert Andress, and sister JoAnn Boyett.
