Milton L. "Pete" Ross

Jacksboro ~ Milton L. “Pete” Ross, 81, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, August 23, 2020 in Decatur.

Memorial Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur.

Pete was born November 9, 1938 to Webster W. and Artie Mae (Butler) Ross in Stephenville, Texas.  After completing school, Pete worked in construction as a cement finisher by trade. He was a member of National Greyhound Association. Over the years Pete provided for his family as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and finally as a great-great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Webster and Artie Mae Ross; and his partner in life, LaVerne Hudson.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Speck Ross and wife, Debbie of Jacksboro; his daughters, Linda Price of Decatur, Troy Ann Gray of Cedaredge, Colorado, and Tracey Fletcher and husband Steve of Weatherford; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members and a host of good friends.
