Graveside service for Minnie Sparks, 83, of Grandview was Jan. 16 at Chico Cemetery. The Rev. Jerrel Martinez officiated. Mrs. Sparks died Friday, Jan. 13, 2006, in Grandview. Born Nov. 6, 1922, in Decatur, Mrs. Sparks, a homemaker, was a member of the New Beginnings Assembly of God Church and was active in the WMC of the Assemblies of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Sparks; her brother, Henry Cook; and sisters, Ople Cox, Viva Avila, Estelene Evans, and Marie Hall. She is survived by her son, Ronnie L. Sparks and wife, Wanda, of Burleson; a granddaughter, Stephanie Villa and her husband, Dennis of Saginaw; a grandson, Aaron Sparks of Fort Worth; a great-granddaughter Irina Villa of Saginaw; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
