RUNAWAY BAY -- Misty Howell Roper, 64, a payroll administrator for the City of Coppell, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, in Decatur.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday, First Baptist Church. Burial: East Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Hawkins Funeral Home. Rev. Doug Whitehead will officiate. Pallbearers will be: Blaine Addison, Chris Holland, Monty Moon, James Brewster, John Adams, Brad Hardt, Robert Ridling, and Jim Wolske.
Mary Lee "Misty" Roper was born on August 10, 1943 in Memphis, Texas to Clarence and Varde Louie (Spruill) Melton. Misty was a member of the Texas Payroll Commission.
Left behind to cherish her memory are: her daughters, LeAndra Matney of Runaway Bay, LaDawn Munn of Bridgeport; 4 grandchildren, Jason, Brook, Brittany, and McKenzie; sister, Betty Lou Herman and husband David of Tacoma, Washington; brother, Clarence Melton of Denton; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
