Decatur: Moises Torres, 59, went to be with our Lord, Friday, January 4, 2013 in Decatur.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 8th at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church with Father Jacob Alvares officiating. Interment: Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home with Rosary at 7 p.m.
Pallbearers include Luis Torres, Alfredo Torres, Carlos Torres, Gregorio Torres, Martin Torres, Eliazar Torres, Jose Torres, Gordon Wade, and Gerald Lanier.
Moises was born March 14, 1953 in San Luis De La Paz, Guanajuato, Mexico to Gregorio and Enedina Torres. He was united in marriage to Juana S. Torres in 1981 in Mexico. Moises was a lifelong cattleman and ranch hand and was employed by the Decatur Livestock Auction.
Left behind to cherish his memory are wife, Juana S. Torres; four sons, Luis G., Alfredo, Carlos, and Gregorio Torres; three daughter, Yadira, Cristina and Veronica Torres all of Decatur; seven brothers, Ignacio, Gregorio, Juan, Jose, Eliazas, Marlin, and Eloy Torres; four sisters, MaLuisa, Yolanda, Rosalia and Rocio Torres; two grandchildren, Christian and Sebastian Torres; other family members and a host of friends.
