CHICO -- Morgan Clampitt, 14, a student at Alvord Junior High School went to be with our Lord on December 29, 2008 in Dallas, Texas.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Central Fellowship Church in Decatur. Burial: Cumby Cemetery. Family will receive friends: 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pastor Monty Tuttle will officiate with Youth Minister Jeff Gary assisting.

Pallbearers: Johnny McDaniel, Paul Cantrell, Jason Younger, Topper Loper, Danny Daniels, Allen Dethloff, Cody Burdine, and Larry Stark.

Morgan was born on November 3, 1994, the daughter of Brad and Connie (Jones) Clampitt in Fort Worth, Texas. She grew up in Chico and attended school there through the 8th grade. Morgan was active a member of the Chico Lady Dragons volleyball team, basketball team, softball team and track team. She was also a Chico Junior High School cheerleader and active in 4H, showing market goats. Morgan was currently finishing her 8th grade year at Alvord Junior High School where she was a member of the Alvord Lady Bulldogs basketball team and the Alvord Junior FFA where she was raising 2 market pigs for the upcoming Wise County Youth Fair. Morgan was a member of Central Fellowship Church in Decatur and was active in their youth group.

Morgan was preceded in death by her grandfather, Paul Binyon; her aunt, Tanya Chancellor; and her cousin, Ethan Chancellor.

Left behind to cherish her memory is: her mother, Connie Clampitt of Chico; father, Brad Clampitt and wife Jamie of Runaway Bay; sisters, Courtney and Kayla Clampitt of Chico; step sister, Lexi Cobb of Runaway Bay; grandparents: Edward and Connie Browning of Chico, Sharon Binyon of Chico, Jim and Cathy Clampitt of Sunset; great grandparents: Pauline Clark of Bowie, Walton Clampitt of Fort Worth; aunts and uncles: Jimmy and Paula Smith of Bowie, Jerry and Tammie Klein of Alvord, Brian and Christi Clampitt of Alvord; cousins: Coby and Casey Smith of Bowie, Paige, Jacob, and Ransom Klein of Alvord, Aundie and Abby Clampitt of Alvord.
