Myrl Jenkins

Paradise ~ Myrl Jenkins, 93, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, October 12, 2022 in Bridgeport.

Private family burial will be held at Boyd Cemetery.

Myrl was born on March 13, 1929 to Oscar W. and Mildred (McLeod) Bland in Jones County. She was united in marriage to Jimmie Jenkins on March 8, 1990 in Sweetwater. Myrl was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother of 3 generations, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Mildred Bland; her husband, Jimmie Jenkins; her daughter, Teresa Nannette Cavender; her brother, Gene Bland; and her sister, Betty Scrivner.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are 3 daughters, Martha Jo Baker and husband Garrett of Boyd, Debra Anne Taylor and husband Maxie of Flower Mound, and Lisa Darlene Timmermann of Bridgeport; her son, James William Howell and wife Pat of Boyd; her sister, Mary Gilbreath of Abilene; her sister-in-law, Peggy Bland of Baird; her grandchildren, John and Michael Baker, Heather Hentz, Laura Blalock, Warren Howell, Catherine McKinley, Donnie Hamlin, Gayla Reynolds, and Justin Timmermann; 17 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
