Springtown ~ Myrtle Winifred Dousay, 94, a retired LVN, passed away Tuesday July 11, 2017 in Springtown.
Memorial is 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Springtown Seventh Day Adventist Church in Springtown.
Pastor Tony Gonzales will officiate along with Wayne Bolan.
Myrtle was born March 6, 1923 to Loyd and Etta Winifred (Hill) Phelps in Kinder, Louisiana. She was united in marriage on August 15, 1941 to Lonnie Anderson Dousay in Oberlin, Louisiana. Myrtle was a member of the Springtown Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lonnie Dousay; her son, Carl Dousay; and her daughter, Ethel "Boots" Dousay.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Dorothy Teal of Atlanta, Louisiana, Peggy Walker of Covington, Texas, Cathy Parker of Springtown, Texas and Sue Mack of Provo, Utah; her son, Richard "Dick" Dousay and wife Jeanie of Oregon; and multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
