Rhome ~ Myrtle Lee Erzkus Stailey, 79, a homemaker and waitress, went to be with our Lord Saturday, July 9, 2011 at her home in Rhome.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Keeter with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery #2. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
The Rev. Dale Noska will officiate. Pallbearers are David Wollever, Matt McMillan, Ricky Calloway, Tim Howe, Stephan Shepard, and Joey Stailey.
Myrtle was born July 9, 1932 to Ely and Noma (Brown) Erzkus in Austin, Texas. She married Sam Stailey on January 17, 1961 in Abilene, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Linda Lee Willard; her brother, Buck Erzkus; and her sister, Catherine Shawnfield.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Sam Stailey of Rhome; her daughters, Jo Ann Willard of Concord, North Carolina, Gay Lynn Willard of Greensboro, North Carolina, Robin McMillan and husband Matthew of Rhome, Judy Stailey of Austin, Jamie Ingram and husband Gary of Rhome; her grandchildren, Duffy, Lee, Derek, Stephanie, Josh, Stephan, and William; her great grandchildren, Emmalee and Katelynn; her brother, Travis T. Erzkus; other relatives and a host of friends.
