Bridgeport ~ Nadine Green, 81, a small business owner, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in Denton.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. No visitation.
Rev. Craig Erb will officiate. Pallbearers include G.B. Funk, Jim Bost, Tommy Cortez, Bucky Manoushagian, Doug Dunlap, David Spann, Ronnie Holt, and Jackie Chilton.
Nadine was born on January 31, 1934 in Oklahoma City. She was united in marriage to Billy Green on August 15, 1953 in Bridgeport. Nadine owned Green’s clothing store then Soft Touch. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport, was a Sunday school teacher and directed the childrens choir. Nadine was the founder of the Halloween Fall Festival and ran the Vacation Bible School. She also volunteered at the Intermediate School in Bridgeport.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, Jo and Virginia McElhaney; and her brother, Judge Billy McElhaney.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, B.C. Green of Bridgeport; her sons, Stacy Green and wife Julie of Bridgeport and Barry Green and wife Katrina of Fort Worth; her grandchildren, Lauren Green, Jon Green and wife Amanda, Lacey Donald, and Kaylee Donald; her sister, Rita Boles of Bridgeport; other family members and a host of friends.
