PARADISE -- Naomi Potts Caruthers, 74, a communications manager for Bell Helicopter, went to be with our Lord on Thursday Jan. 24, 2008, at her home in Paradise. Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, Paradise. Officiating Reverend Matt Edwards. Burial: Paradise Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Naomi was born March 15, 1933, in Paradise to Joe and Anna Atkins Potts. She married Lellan Caruthers, Nov. 18, 1950, in Paradise. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2003. Also preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, Sam, Paul, Joe Jr., and Tom Caruthers; and sisters, Mildred Reeves and Mary Leoni. Survivors: Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Stan Caruthers and wife, Shelly; grandchildren, Mandy Missildine and husband, Dowell, Kelly Harris and husband, Josh, Ashley and Alison Caruthers; great-grandchildren, Colton and Clayton Missildine and Kelsey Harris; brothers, Bobby and Billy Potts; family friends; and caregiver, Sharon Boughton.
