Paradise~ Nathan Riley Cox, 33, went to be with our Lord on Monday, January 3, 2022 in Decatur.
Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Military Honors will be provided by the Wise County Veterans Group.
Camille Milner will officiate.
Pallbearers are to include, Robert Calk III, Jeffrey Stagner, Joey Gosney, Caysen Gosney, Kolden Gosney, Chizum Gosney, Seth Barr, and Jordan Geron.
Nathan was born on August 27, 1988 to Porter Ashley and Maria Lynne (Lockhart) Cox in Fort Worth, Texas. Nathan was a graduate of Paradise High School. He was a veteran in the United States Army National Guard and proudly served his country during the Iraq War. Nathan most recently worked as a forklift driver. He was a beloved father, son, brother, grandson, and friend to many who will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Atticus Wayne Cox; his parents, Porter and Maria Cox of Paradise; his sister, Kathryn Cox of Paradise; his grandmother, Patricia Lockhart of Ft. Worth; Atti-Man’s Mom, Mandy Orr, and Atti-Man’s sister and brother, Brooklynn and Gage Rowe, all of Saginaw; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
