Neita Ann (Long) Gaugh

Decatur ~ Neita Ann Gaugh, 63, a retired horticulturist, went to be with our Lord Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Decatur.
Celebration of life will be held at a later date in Decatur, Texas and Overland Park, Kansas.
Neita was born on February 17, 1954 to Harry and Jaunita (Kenny) Long in Maryville, Missouri. She worked for 20 years for Overland Park Parks & Forestry in Kansas as a Horticulturist. Neita was an eight year Ovarian Cancer survivor who fought until the very end. She was fiercely loyal, honest and beautifully blunt (sometimes painfully so.) She was always able to find the humor in every situation and made you see it also. Her infectious laughter & large smile will never be forgotten and missed by all who knew her! Neita's spirit was bright when she was creating beautiful gardens, basking in the sun or surrounded by those she loved.
S he was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Ashlee Bohn and husband Cary of Decatur, Mackenzie Atkins and husband Jeremy of Kansas; 10 grandchildren; and a host of friends.
