BRIDGEPORT -- Nelda Faye Davidson, 77, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, June 28, 2009 in Bridgeport.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant View Baptist church. Burial: Thomas Cemetery. Family to receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Rev. Gary Demmitt will officiate. Pallbearers: Charlie Davidson, Dustin Davidson, Christopher Davidson, Reese Landers, Eddie McKinley, Marvin Read.
Nelda Faye was born on February 23, 1932, the daughter of Charlie and Lillie (Robinson) Holland in Gilmer, Texas. She married J.W. "Bud" Davidson on September 8, 1952 in Gilmer. Nelda was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are: her husband of 56 years, Bud Davidson of Bridgeport; daughter, Kathy Smith and husband Mark of Bridgeport; son, Pete Davidson and wife Cyndie of Amarillo; grandchildren, Jennifer Wilson, Amy Morgan, Sarah Carney, Charlie, Dustin, and Christopher Davidson; great grandchildren, Ava, Caroline, Ali, Grant; other relatives and a host of friends.
