Neoma Vernell (Willson) Hitchcock

Boyd ~ Vernell Hitchcock, 85, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in Fort Worth.
Funeral is 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd with burial at Azleland Cemetery. Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home.
Rev. Johnny Sanders will officiate. Pallbearers are Keith Hulsey, Samuel Hulsey, Jamie Denton, and Clint York.
Vernell was born January 2, 1933 to Amos and Lorena (Fishback) Willson in Bogata. She was united in marriage to Ralph Edwin Hitchcock on March 18, 1951 in Lancaster. Vernell was a member of Pleasant Grove #2 Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her daughter, Cynthia Denton.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cheryl York and husband Mark of Fort Worth; her son-in-law, Jimmy Denton of Azle; her grandchildren, Jamie Denton, Shannon Coomer, Wendy York, and Clint York; her great grandchildren, Hadyn, Emerson, and Deklan; her sister, Willa Duffee and husband Dalon of Fort Worth; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
