Boyd ~ Nicholas Chance Rhodes, 17, a student at Paradise High School, went to be with our Lord Thursday, July 6, 2017 in Cottondale.
Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Boyd, with burial at Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Boyd.
Brother Terry Terry, Charles Pugh, J.D. Weido, and Jacob Luman will officiate. Pallbearers will be Colby Cox, Jacob Robinson, Kaleb Cook, Dakota Moon, Arturo Licea, Reggie Contreas, Ethan Holley, Rendyn Lamance, Matthew Carrizales, and Ashton Smith.
Nicholas was born on January 24, 2000 to Mark and Katy (Kemper) Rhodes in Fort Worth. He played football and was a power lifter at Paradise High School. Nicholas was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He loved fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Katy Kemper Rhodes; and his grandfathers, Sonny Rhodes and Robert Kemper.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his parents, Terry and Cindy Terry of Boyd; his father, Mark Rhodes of Alabama; his sister, Maddilyn Terry of Boyd; his grandmother, Joyce Tennesen of California; his grandparents, Mary and Robert Parker of Alabama, Don and Vicki Booth of Louisiana, and Laurin Terry of San Antonio; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many, many friends.
