Chico ~ Nobie Deloia Tucker, 90, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, May 22, 2024 in Bridgeport.
Funeral Service is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 28th, at First Baptist Church in Chico with burial at Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Ronnie Lawson to officiate. Pallbearers are Larry Windon, Joshua Richey, Christopher Richey, Kolby Windon, Trevor McGriff, and Blake Windon. Honorary Pallbearers include Ethan McGriff and Austin Michael.
Nobie was born on November 17, 1933 to William Perry and Orlena (Dix) Tucker in Pittsburg, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to JoAnn Gee on November 7, 1955 in Grandfield, Oklahoma. Nobie was the mayor for the City of Chico for 30 years and was involved with the Lions Club and volunteer fire department. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church in Chico, a gas station owner and an auto mechanic for many years. Nobie was a beloved father, grandfather of 3 generations, uncle, and a friend to many that will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Orlena Tucker; his wife, JoAnn Tucker; his brother, Audie Tucker; his granddaughters, Stacey, Angela, and Ella; and his great-grandson, Jacob.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Debbie Tucker of Chico and Rhonda Richey and husband Bobby of Chico; his granddaughter, Wendy McGriff of Sherman; his grandsons, Larry Windon, Jr. of Howe, Joshua Richey of Chico, and Christopher Richey of San Angelo; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
