Nolen Alba Griffeth

Decatur ~ Nolen Alba Griffeth, 79, went to be with our Lord Monday, February 12, 2018 in Denton.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Sycamore Baptist Church with burial in Sycamore Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Kevin Moore and Casey Lewis will officiate. Pallbearers include Tanner Griffeth, Caleb Griffeth, Alexander Griffeth, Zachary Griffeth and Colton Griffeth.

Nolen was born on August 11, 1938 to Alba and Julia (Kelso) Griffeth in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage to Rosemary Ann Hunter on June 9, 1962 in Dallas, Texas. Nolen retired from farming. He was a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church in Decatur.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 47 years Rosemary Griffeth; his granddaughter, Heather Griffeth.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, John Gregory Griffeth and wife JoAnn of Decatur, Derek Todd Griffeth and wife Audra of Fort Worth,  Shane Evan Griffeth and wife, Jessica  of Visalia, California; his grandchildren, Tanner, Caleb, Alexander, Zachary, Colton, and Forrest; his great grandchildren, Rorey, Riley, and Cayley; his sister, Lucille Goetchius of Crosby; his brothers, Grady, Eddie Ray, and Charles Griffeth all of Decatur; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
