Nora Jean Cato

Boyd ~ Nora Jean Cato, 55, went to be with our Lord Monday, February 19, 2018 in Dallas.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 at The Church of God in Boyd with burial in Hog Branch Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Rev. Steven Bernard will officiate. Pallbearers include Timothy Hunt, Lee Junkins, Aaren Hamel, Emmaus Bernard, Troy Mills, Jacob Patton, Woody Posey and Andrew Parker. Honorary pallbearers include Dwayne Campbell, Bill Runyun and Tim Burnham.

Nora Jean was born on December 31, 1962 to Kenneth and Barbara (Gregory) Payne in Fort Worth, Texas. She was united in marriage to Thomas Cato on January 26, 1991 in Fort Worth.

Nora loved to sing at The Church of God where she was a longtime member. She also had a passion for prayer and shared the Love of God with everyone she came in contact with.

She was preceded in death by her mother; Barbara Ann Payne.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 27 years, Thomas Cato of Boyd; her sister, Connie Birdsong of Chandler, Oklahoma; her sister Mary Jane Campbell and husband Dewayne of Hurst; her father Kenneth Payne and wife Joann of Duncan, Oklahoma; and her faithful Fur Babies, Bite Bite and Bubbas and a host of friends.
